Pedestrian Parade

On Friday, May 11, 2018, our students have the opportunity to participate in the Pedestrian Parade; a community-driven event to make connections between positive mental health, physical activity, community connectedness, nature, and healthy diet. These are all proactive ways that everyone can use to support their mental health. This event will feature a community walk and a picnic lunch with friends, teachers, community members, and family members who wish to attend.

Forest Green is planning on attending as a whole school. We ask that students ensure they are dressed for the weather on that day and wear appropriate footwear for the walk to the Rotary Park in Stony Plain and bring a  disposable lunch. After they have eaten, everyone in attendance will complete a short walk around the park with our doctors, business owners, politicians, and other PSD staff, beginning at 11:30.

There is no fee for this event and the learning outcomes for this event are related to health, physical education, and social studies.

Please note, that students will recieve a permission form to have signed and returned to participate in this event. If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
