Y(our) Program Grant Recipients

We wanted to congratulate Brooke and Kaylyn's dog biscuit innovation project for receiving our first grant in Your Program. Authentic learning opportunities are happening through this project where students are engaged in real world and community work that matters to them. The students are working on a project to bring healthy dog treats to the community. Mozzy and Mickey's Barkery will be using the money from the Edmonton Community Foundation to make their project come to life.

Stony Creek Pajama Day & Popcorn Sale

On December 11, our student leadership team is organizing a pajama day and popocorn sale in our Stony Creek program. Students are invited to wear their pajamas to school that day and bring $2 for a bag of popcorn for snack time. All proceeds will go towards supporting our local animal shelter. Check out the short commercial our students made for this event using the green screen.

Remax Writing Contest

We are pleased to let you all know that one of our Brightbank students (Senay Stamp) received 2nd place and an Honorable Mention in the 2018 Remax Writing Contest!! There were 992 entries and they typically do not do any Honorable Mentions, but the judges were very impressed with Senay's writing.

The topic was "How to Improve my Community" and she chose to write about her ideas to improve the life of children on Enoch First Nations through improving roads for safety and setting up a mentoring program for youth to make positive choices.  Senay shared her experience of being in foster care and how she wants better for the future generations of Enoch children.

It is a big honor for one of our Brightbank students and we are thrilled for her.

Report Cards

We wanted to remind you that report cards are now available online through the parent portal. We encourage you to review your child’s report card and if you have any questions or difficulty accessing the report card please let us know.
